February is Black History Month
A time to honour and acknowledge the transformative work that Black Canadians and their communities have made and continue to make in all sectors of society. It is about celebrating resilience, innovation, and determination to work towards a more inclusive and diverse Canada.
A message from Dave McFarlane, President, PHCHF
This year more so than any other, we must take the time to look at where we are coming from to see where we want to go. Together, we can continue the work to get to a place where our colour, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation “will be of no more significance than the colour of one’s eye.”
This month is a time for us to look at where we have been and refocus on the harmonious place, we as one people want to be.
